About AbleChildAfrica
AbleChildAfrica specialises exclusively in advocating for and supporting disabled children and young people in Africa.
We want to see a world in which all disabled children are able to reach their full potential. We aim to promote and facilitate the participation of young disabled people in all aspects of development in Africa and are committed to advocating their human rights.
In order to achieve this we support partner organisations in Africa to carry out life changing work and to campaign for more widespread change in attitudes and practice.
We currently work with 5 partner organisations in East Africa:
• Uganda: Uganda Society for Disabled Children
• Kenya: Action Network for the Disabled and Little Rock
• Tanzania: Information Centre on Disability and Child Support Tanzania

3 Peaks Challenge
The 3 Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the three highest peaks in the UK, one after the other!
These peaks are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, we complete them in that order.
We travel to Fort William on the Friday, starting with Ben Nevis on the Saturday morning, climb Scafell Pike Saturday night and finish Snowdon on Sunday in Wales!
This is a tiring event and people participating should have the necessary fitness. We aim to complete each of the mountains within 3-6 hours; however this will depend upon the speed of the group.
The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders and there is a transport vehicle with separate driver with you throughout the challenge.

Hadrian's Wall Highlights
This is a guided, fully supported walk taking in the highlights of Hadrian's Wall. The route passes through some of Northern England's most beautiful scenery and enjoys some of the finest and best preserved sections of the wall.
We choose to walk it West to East to hopefully take advantage of the prevailing winds.
The walking varies from well established tracks and roads to fields and hill tracks, and is quite simply beautiful. If you haven't had the chance to see Northern England or Hadrian's Wall, this is a great way to enjoy it.
For those short on time and unable to complete the length of wall in one go, this is a great alternative, a quick fix.
The course is guided by experienced mountain leaders.

Kilimanjaro
Standing at 5,895m, Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. This vast, snow-capped and fortunately dormant/extinct volcano is found in the southern hemisphere in northwest Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border.
The uppermost point of the world's highest free-standing mountain is Uhuru peak. This is a 10 day round trip from the UK, and an attempt to climb this high peak via the Rongai Route.
