Intro
Steeped in history and protected by rocky ridges, Snowdon is a unique mountain landscape.
1953 saw a British team attempt Mount Everest, the highest and mightiest of all mountains. Where did this courageous team train and practice their skills? Snowdon.
This is your opportunity to experience the same emotions, learn & practice some of the same skills, admire the same amazing vistas, just like that early Everest team.
From the top of the Llanberis Pass, we negotiate the knife edge arête of Crib Goch. The views entice us to gain ever more height, until finally we are treated to the ultimate view in Wales - Anglesey, the Menai Strait, Cardigan Bay, and the plains of England. We are looking down on it all from this vantage point.
This trip offers spectacular scenery and knife edged arêtes, so you’ll need a steady nerve and a head for heights. A great trip for seasoned hill-walkers who want an extra challenge.

Course Requirements
To do this trip you need to have a good level of fitness and a head for heights. This should not be your first mountain outing, previous hill walking experience is required and the fitter you are the more you will enjoy your trip.
The day will be long, approximately 7 - 9 hours of mountain walking. You need to feel comfortable carrying a small day-sack and walking for extended periods, therefore a few training walks and visits to the gym will undoubtedly add to your overall enjoyment of the trip.
We recommend that you follow a fitness plan in preparation for your challenge, an example of one will be sent to you when you have confirmed your booking.
Although the fitness plan we will send to you has been devised by a fitness professional, this is only provided as a guide and you should seek professional advice before starting your own fitness regime.
