Offering breath taking views of the rolling landscape, The Chiltern Way is a waymarked long-distance footpath in Southern England. This is a stunning walk in incredibly beautiful countryside, starting from Mapledurham and finishing in the village Bovingdon Green, Nr Marlow.

About & Details

Starting at Mapledurham you follow the Chiltern Way to Greys Court, a Tudor Country House owned by the National Trust in the southern Chiltern Hills before heading onto the deer park surrounding Stonor House, continuing to the village of Hambleden, before finishing at Bovingdon Green.

Transport

Saturday 17th October

  • You will be collected from The Adelphi, London at 6.30am and transferred to the start of your challenge at Mapledurham
  • Upon completion of the challenge, you will be collected from Bovingdon Green, Nr Marlow and transferred back to The Adelphi, London

Covid19

Maximum Adventure COVID-19 Peace of Mind Policy

Your health comes first

Our Covid Peace of Mind Policy: You can book with the confidence of our Covid Peace of Mind Policy which is: should we need to postpone your planned adventure as a result of Covid travel restrictions, then you may transfer to any available date up to the end of 2021.  If you then aren’t in a position to specify a date at the moment, we suggest you simply move your trip by 12 months.  This policy remains in place until further notice.

Maximum Adventure will take all reasonable precautions to keep you safe, however it is ultimately the responsibility of each individual to adhere to government guidelines and keep yourself safe.

Pre-Trip

  • In the last 14 days you have not been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of Coronavirus.
  • In the past 14 days you have not had, or don’t currently have any Coronavirus symptoms.

During Trip

Transport

  • Social distancing as per current government guidelines.
  • Ensure kit is labelled to avoid picking up somebody else’s.
  • Face coverings to be worn.
  • Each passenger to provide their own bin bag and to dispose of their own rubbish.
  • The seats immediately behind / next to the driver must be left vacant.
  • Follow the advice of the driver at all times.

Walking

  • Social distancing as per current government guidelines.
  • No sharing of equipment.
  • No passing.

Post-Trip

  • Clients to contact Maximum Adventure if they begin to experience symptoms up to 2 weeks after the end of the trip.

Itinerary

  • Your Challenge

    Following an early morning collection in London, we will transfer you to Mapledurham and the the start of your challenge.  Here you will meet your guides who will brief you about the day ahead, explain the route and check your equipment.  After your briefing you will set off from Mapledurham following the Chiltern Way to Greys Court, a Tudor Country House owned by the National Trust in the Southern Chiltern Hills before heading onto the deer park surrounding Stonor House, then continuing to the village of Hambleden, before finally finishing at Bovington Green.
