About this Adventure

The Palace2Palace ride between Hampton Court Palace and Le Château de Versailles runs over three cycling days and one leisure with the option to add one in Paris. It takes in the countryside of Southern England and Northern France, travelling through Newhaven, Dieppe and Beauvais before arriving at our destination in Versailles.

Optional Extras

  • Single Room Supplement £120 per person per night (subject to availability)
  • Add an extra night in Paris on Day 4, returning to the UK late afternoon/early evening the following day via Eurostar – £85/person (twin accommodation – requires two people) or £130/person (single room accommodation)

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Hampton Court Palace to Dieppe

    Early meet at Hampton Court Palace, and then cycling south through the English countryside to Newhaven. Afternoon/Early Evening ferry from Newhaven and overnight in Dieppe.

  • Day 2 - Dieppe to Beauvais

    The group leaves Dieppe and cycles south through the countryside of Northern France and overnights in the pretty city of Beauvais – known for its great Gothic cathedral.

  • Day 3 - Beauvais to Versailles

    The group leaves Beauvais after breakfast and continues their journey south through the French countryside to their overnight destination in Versailles.

    Approx 55miles

  • Day 4 - Leisure day in Versailles and return to UK

    The day is free for the group to explore their surroundings while their bikes are loaded and returned to a pre-agreed single SW London location.  Afternoon/Early Evening – private group transfer from Versailles to Paris Gare du Nord and back to London/St Pancras

EKO are delighted to be supporting Historic Royal Palaces and are asking riders to try and raise £250 for them through individual sponsorship.  HRP is an independent charity which cares for six royal palaces including Hampton Court, a home of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty.
