How to fundraise for Plunkett UK
To participate in this challenge there is a non-refundable registration fee of £99 per person, payable to Maximum Adventure at the time of booking. You can then choose between the two different options below.
Self-Funding:
Pay a £99 registration fee at the time of booking with the balance then due 10 weeks before departure. With the self-funding option, you personally cover the full cost of the challenge. This option means that there is no minimum sponsorship target due, but we encourage you to raise as much money as you can for the Plunkett Foundation.
Minimum Sponsorship Pledge:
Pay a £99 registration fee at the time of booking. Plunkett UK will then set you a minimum fundraising target of £800. With this option, you must submit 80% of your fundraising target to the charity 10 weeks before the departure date.
About Plunkett UK
Plunkett UK is the only national charity providing free ongoing support to rural communities who are coming together to save a local asset such as a pub, shop, farm, woodland or library from permanent closure, through setting up and running community-owned businesses.
A community-owned business is a business that is owned and run democratically by the community for the benefit of the community it serves. And while they ensure access to vital facilities and services, community businesses are also addressing a variety of issues rural communities face around isolation and loneliness, technology poverty and employment and training. From providing much-needed social activities to giving a young person a chance to gain confidence and skills through work placements, or providing meals on wheels or prescription delivery services to vulnerable residents and bringing technology into the community to make online services more accessible to everyone, community businesses play a vitally important role in rural life. Quite simply, they are lifelines to hundreds of thousands of people.
To date Plunkett has helped more than 800 community businesses come to life and with your help we can support even more rural communities to set up and run their own community business, so whether you decide to take on the Three Peak Challenge, climb Snowdon or cycle to Paris – thank you. It’s only thanks to the generosity of individuals like you that we can continue being on hand to offer the support that hundreds of rural communities rely on.
