Charity Partners

Who are we?

We are one of the UK’s leading challenge events and adventure travel operators and have provided our services to many of the UK’s largest corporate and charity names. We work with charities on both a regular and an on demand basis to provide their supporters with fun, exciting and often life-changing challenges. Any of the products found on our website can be offered to your supporters as a fundraising event or you could contact us to discuss your requirements and we’ll put together a bespoke event unique to you.

How do we support you?

We understand the fundraising sector and want to support you and your supporters in every way we can.

We offer our services with as little obligation or cost to you as possible by setting up a unique web page (microsite) branded for you and hosted by Maximum Adventure. This microsite will be branded specifically to your charity and event/s which can be easily ‘linked’ to your own events web page, making the registration process incredibly straightforward for your supporters. Our experienced events team will deal with the administration of all enquiries and bookings, minimising your workload. They will be on hand before, during and after your event to provide support for you and your participants. Of course, we will be regularly keeping you up to date with who has booked onto your event.

You will find examples of the charities we already work with by looking at our charity events page, from smaller local organisations to larger national and international charities.

How does it work for your organisation?

We offer our charity partners the option to promote exclusive dates, or simply to ‘piggy back’ Maximum Adventure’s open challenges, all of which are listed on our website.

Offering exclusive dates just for your organisation obviously has a great appeal so that your event can have a branded feel. Different events require a different level or participation number to secure an exclusive status. For example, if you have a group of 8 or more participants for a single National 3 Peaks Challenge date, then we can run the challenge just for your organisation at no extra charge. If you advertise this date however, and fail to secure the minimum of 8 participants, no problem, your supporters can join one of our open challenges on the same date. This way there is no risk to promoting a specific date with us.

If you would prefer to offer open challenges with Maximum Adventure, that’s fine too! You can simply offer any of our listed ‘open’ dates, giving your supporters the flexibility to choose a date which best suits them.

As a third option, why not give your supporters the best of both worlds? If you’d like to concentrate on promoting a specific date, but also want to give supporters the added flexibility, our charity partners will often do that. Advertise one date that will be an event exclusive to your organisation, and offer those that can’t make it the chance to sign up for our open dates under the same fundraising structures.

What fundraising options are there?

We offer our charity partners the option of either self-funded events, or to employ a minimum sponsorship pledge.

A ‘self-funded’ event is simple. Each participant pays the full cost of their place in an event, and any fundraising is donated directly to your organisation. The benefit of this option is that there is no obligation to the participant to meet fundraising deadlines and targets.

The ‘minimum sponsorship model’ is often the most successful option. In this case your organisation sets a minimum fundraising target that each participant has to meet. We can make suggestions as to what amount works best for each challenge, though as a general rule of thumb we suggest that the minimum target is double the remaining cost of a challenge, after the participant has paid a registration fee. 50% to 80% of this minimum target should be raised ten weeks prior to the participant’s challenge dates, which is when Maximum Adventure will invoice your organisation for their place.

In all cases a registration fee is paid to Maximum Adventure by the participant to confirm their place on their chosen challenge.

How can you set up an event?

It’s very simple! You can set up any event or multiple events with us by calling 017683 71289 or by dropping us an email.  Our team will be delighted to talk you through various options available to you and help guide you through making decisions on suitable challenges, funding options and dates etc. We’ll also design bespoke events tailored to you. Whether it’s big or small, local or international, we have the skills and experience to create a challenge unique to your charity. We love designing challenges.

Alternatively, if you are happy with which events you’d like to offer, and which dates you’d like to promote, please go ahead and complete our online event creation form. Once you have entered all of the information we need to set up your microsite and brochure (this may take up to 5 working days), then our team will get in touch and show you the end results!
