Maximum Adventure exceeded expectations, planning a trip for me last minute and off season through the glorious Lake District. The hotels were top rate, as was the food and my daily gluten free sandwich. Nathalie got the route guide sent to me in a couple of days and the baggage service was impeccable. It was the only tour guide company that responded immediately to my last minute request. Looking forward to more adventures with your company!!!
David and I walked the Speyside Way in September 2023 and very much enjoyed the adventure. Maximum Adventure Ltd organised our nightly accommodation and uplifting of our luggage in a seamless manner, which made the whole trip so easy with no stress. This is the second time that I have personally used Maximum Adventures Ltd and I would recommend them to others as they offer a friendly and efficient service.
We realy appreciated the tour we did on Hadrians Wall path in May. Beautiful scenery, decent weather, god arrangements including lodging, transport, bagagehandling etc. We came well prepared . In this preparation Maximum adventures gave us great support, as we are coming from abroad with no knowledge of conditions on the path. We had great BnBs and could concentrate on de daily walks that gave us great pleasure. Thank you England and Hadrians Wall path for your friendly reception and well mantained walking path. Maximum Adventure did a great job for us. With less than a month's notice, it set up an itinerary, lodging and luggage porterage for a walk from Carlisle to Newcastle, England along Hadrian's Wall. The lodging was fantastic, as was the itinerary and support during the walk. We'd definitely use Maximum Adventure again and would recommend them without reservation!
I was part of a climb on 23/09, didn't think I would make ut, but I did. The descent was a different story.. I got jelly legs and lost my confidence. If it wasn't for James, my Sherpa would never have made it. Can't thank him enough, Will, met you briefly. Both of them were very knowledgeable, we had the most amazing views at the summit...the pain is still worth it and
I walked the West Highland Way with my dad and brother. The organisation was excellent by Samantha. Itinerary and instructions were clear and all the bookings and luggage transfers went smoothly. As a result we were able to ensure the fantastic walk and not worry about anything. I would happily recommend Maximum Adventure to others.
Absolutely brilliant guide - knowledgeable, interesting and humorous in addition to looking after our safety so well - making sure we ate and suggesting when to layer up! Would highly recommend!
We just got home from our 8-days Hadrian's Wall hike and we just loved it! Everything was perfectly organized! We had great B&Bs and hotels with very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Our favorite was the Dacre House with Clare. But then again, all were great! The luggage was always at the day's destination, no matter how early we got to the accommodation. The description of how to get to the accommodations were clear and precise. The road map and the guide book were waiting for us as we got to the first B&B and were very helpful and interesting Thanks, Maximum Adventure!

Booked for the 3 UK Peaks adventure, it was organised perfectly and everything when to plan. Accommodation was good, transport excellent, our guide (Patrick) brilliant, so cannot fault the trip and adventure. I personally expected too much from myself and was unable to fully summit as this adventure is not for beginners, I climbed Kilimanjaro in 2003 when I was 42 and twenty years later, although relatively fit, my endurance didn't last. So I did a half summit for Ben Nevis & Scafell, thanks to Patrick for letting go back down on my own, it was brilliant. With Snowdon, a half summit is tricky as you can't descend the way you go up, so I decided to do some hiking in the area while the rest of the group did the climb. I took a chance and went to the ticket office and managed to get a single return ticket up to the summit of Snowdon at 9am which returned down by 11.30am. I was hoping to see my group on top and spring a surprise but the weather was terrible. I highly recommend the trip but make sure you are fit enough otherwise as there is an emphasis on time, so a slow walk up is going to slow everyone down and really delay the trip. Just an amazing experience. Maximum Adventure booked us into a great hotel in Fort William, and after a great night' rest - we met our guide Innes. Innes was brilliant. He gave us the confidence we needed and looked after the entire group. He also waited until the last person was down off the mountain safely. We also learned a lot about the history and geography of the region as well. It was fantastic. Thank you Maximum Adventure.

I cannot recommend this service enough. Walking Hadrian's Wall was a deeply powerful experience and lifetime goal, but planning a 10 day trip across Northern England from Colorado was daunting. Maximum Adventure took care of everything. They even arranged additional nights, at very reasonable prices. All we needed to do was show up to each location and have a pint. Every place we stayed had vegan options, rooms ready, and our luggage waiting for us after a long day on the trail. I'd recommend taking the longer route and stopping along the way. It made the difference of just turning this into a long vacation with that all we had to do was walk and hang out at the many locations along the way. Thank you!!!
We walked the West Highland Way in May 2023. Maximum Adventures took care of all of our lodging, breakfasts and luggage transfers. The whole process was so smooth from beginning to end. The office staff, luggage transfer staff and planning staff were caring and the best we could have asked for. We had beautiful weather and the walk was challenging and rewarding. Booked in with Maximum Adventure for a summer ascent of Ben Nevis in June 2023. Our wonderful guide Chris was in touch beforehand to give us the final details and answer any queries we had about conditions / kit to take. On the day itself we had a kit check and team review of the map before setting off. We took the traditional tourist route which was very busy (as expected for Saturdays in summer ). Chris gave us lots of info about the mountain itself as well as taking the time to suggest loads of possible mountain adventures to do next. Everyone was able to ascend the summit safely and whole group had an ace time. Really enjoyed my day with Maximum Adventure and I would definitely book further guided hikes with them.

We did a 7 day walk of Hadrian’s Wall – all organised by Maximum Adventure – B&B bookings, taxis and baggage transfer (through Hadrian’s Haul Ltd.). The Wall walk was fantastic – lots to see and enjoy (I would probably allow an extra day or two in the middle if I were doing it again). All of the B&Bs were great (note – evening meals and packed lunches are extra). We certainly recommend Maximum Adventure.

We did the West Highland way with Maximum Adventure Ltd. The whole process was very easy and all questions were answered within no time. The itinerary was easy to follow and at every place booked everything went flawless. We had a dog with us and the team managed to find beautiful places for us to stay. I can highly recommend the service. It made the whole trip and preparation so much easier and all that was left to do was to enjoy the scenery, the good weather and the hike.
Our guide was brilliant, he set up a WhatsApp group to give us further details on the day about the weather, he also kept reminding us to eat and drink plenty and made sure we had a few stops. Would definitely recommend Maximum Adventure and Chris our guide.

James Coomber was our guide for our Ben Nevis hike. He contacted me a few days before the hike to confirm arrangements. James was very knowledgable, gave great tips and took care of one of our group who was struggling. James was able to point out mountain ranges, wildlife and other interesting features. The whole experience was great. I highly recommend James and Maximum Adventure.
For our cycling trip from London to Paris (a group of 15), Evan, Tony and Ian have been very helpful, very kind, very patient and very professional throughout this journey, beginning with our very first contact up to the end of the trip and afterwards (bringing our bikes back to London). We always felt safe and secure and didn’t need to worry about anything, which made our lives so much easier, concentrating only on cycling, The entire trip was very well organised; and the conduct and attitude of Evan, Tony and Ian have been exemplary the entire time.

The planning was flawless - all reservations were in place at Inns and B&B's along the way, and all baggage logistics were done to the right place at the right time. We made a 7 days walk of the Hadrian's wall organised by Maximum Adventure. The logistics was flawless, all accommodation very good, our bags always arrived perfectly and we even had pre-booked taxis picking us up when there was no accommodation available close to the wall. All information supplied was excellent and useful; it was really good to know when evening meals had to be pre-ordered etc. We would highly recommend Maximum Adventure. The value for the money was excellent!
We organised the London > Paris x4 day trip for our business. We initially reached out pre-COVID but unfortunately had to shift our date twice due to travel restrictions. Maximum Adventures were incredibly flexible, provided first class service, and were totally amenable to our needs. Rebecca was our chief organiser, and was amazing! The trip itself was honestly one of the best experiences I have had. We had a group of 12 from the business, but that was quickly extended by our 2 tour guides (Tony and Evan) and our support (Martin), who easily embedded themselves into our group, and added a brilliant dynamic too. All three were really approachable, great fun and super knowledgeable. They shared loads of info about our equipment, our cycling style and the route along the way. But, they didn't take it too seriously either. The balance was great - we had such fun but also managed to feel totally safe throughout. The route itself was stunning (perhaps more hilly than hoped!), with great roads, and lovely coffee/lunch stops along the way. Everything was organised to such a level that none of the team had to do anything at all. Bags were delivered to the hotel, room keys were given to us as soon as we arrived and our bikes were magically prepared, checked over and ready to go as soon as we had finished breakfast! With the new working dynamic of hybrid/remote, activities like this are such a great way to bring the team together, and I would 100% recommend doing so. I can't imagine any other organisation could top the way Maximum Adventures organised and conducted this trip. I'll be booking another trip with them next year without a doubt.
Just returned from the Coast to Coast walk, which was booked my Maximum Adventure. Right from the beginning with my first phone call with Mike, the owner everything was just great. Nathalie was our contact while we were traveling and she did a great job of responding to our requests during our trip. I will contact them soon to book walk on Hadrian's Wall next May. GO MA!!!
