The Lake District Round – New Self Guided Walking Holiday Itinerary

We are big fans of the Lake District, (being local and all) so when we decided to add another long distance walk to our self guided holiday lineup, the Lake District Round was an obvious choice.

Starting and ending in Ambleside, the Lake District Round covers around 90 miles of some of the most stunning landscapes in the UK. Passing through Coniston, Wasdale, Buttermere, Keswick, Grasmere and Patterdale you will take in the many fells, woodlands and lakes in the area.

We have given you a few options on this one. Depending on how fast, or leisurely you like your walking holidays to be, this trip can be done in 6, 9 or 11 days. For anyone looking for a more challenging walk, the high-level mountain route offers an alternative for those who prefer summits to the valley.

As with all of our self guided tours, we organise all of your accommodation, with private bathrooms and breakfast included; arrange your luggage to be transferred each day so that you only have to carry a small day bag and provide you with a map and guide book. Our expert event planners are available to answer all your questions beforehand and offer 24 hour emergency assistance during your trip.

The Lake District is a truly beautiful place to visit and has some amazing walks, we think that the Lake District Round gives you the chance to experience the very best that this National Park has to offer.
